   I agree that it’s a lot. I’ve spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars searching for good reading apps for iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices, for my struggling online readers. (I have an online reading studio where we help kids who’ve fallen through the cracks and failed to learn to read at school.)

   My problem is I can no longer continue to spend that much! I wish I knew how to create of obtain the beautiful and helpful sliding illustrations you have for each app, as I do want to recommend the apps I love (far more, alas, of the ones that are pure junk!) to my parents who read my blog or are on my Facebook page.

   I’d love to learn how you manage this! Maybe there’s a way I could help you in return. 😀

   Hi Kevin,

   I agree in the big scheme of things, $5.99 isn’t a lot compared to books, etc.
   You do get a book for each letter of the alphabet and that’s great, but for an app it is still at the higher end. Not the most expensive.

   Bottom-line: Great app and well worth the price.

   Thanks BestAppsForKids for the review. We’d like to point out that while $5.99 isn’t necessarily the cheapest iPad app around, parents and kids do get 24 books in one so there is a lot of rich educational content that provides great value.
