Review Summary:

Busy Water is a fun new puzzle app for kids, brought to you by the creators of Busy Shapes and Crazy Gears.  With Busy Water, kids can enjoy a critical thinking puzzle game based on water physics.  The app is geared towards the 6 – 10 years old age range, but could be enjoyed by a variety of ages.

I loved the design of this game.  Kids will not even feel like they are “thinking”, the gameplay is really fun.  The objective is simple: use pipes, sprayers, paddle wheels and blocks to help Archie the fish get back to his tank.  One thing I really like, each level has multiple solutions – which develops logic and reasoning, but also creativity (there is more than one correct answer)!

This app contains 100+ challenging levels with multiple pathways.  I also thought the “Build Mode” was neat, as it allows kids the ability to create an endless possibility of levels they can share with friends and family.  There are also a dozen or so accessories to use, including: freezing water, heating water, jet stream water and more.  The app encourages kids to transfer, control and engineer water in each level of the game through using their problem-solving skills.  As the App Store said, “think outside the tank”.  Not only will kids build cognitive and reasoning skills, they will also increase their understanding of cause and effect.  The app also promotes the refinement of fine motor skills.

I thought the Busy Water app was a great puzzle app for kids.  I would definitely recommend this app to parents.  I look forward to playing with my 5 year old son!
