Free App Friday – September 23, 2016 – Learning While Playing is the Best.


Welcome to another Free App Friday! This week we’ve found some great free apps to quench your child’s desire for screen time, but will also help them learn at the same time. VideoScience is a great app that will get your kids excited about science both on and off screen. Planet Geo will help them memorize states and capitals. If you’ve got PBS Kids fans the next three apps will be exciting for them: Dinosaur Train, CyberChase Shapes Quest, and PBS Kids Measure Up.

VideoScience is an app that demonstrates science lessons for kids. The experiments are entertaining and can easily be created at home. This is a great way to get kids excited about science on and off screen.

Planet Geo

Take Geography mastery to a new level with Planet Geo.  Your child will have fun interactively learning about states, countries, and more. They will learn from a number of different methods including jigsaw puzzles and flash cards. A great way for everyone to learn more about our world.

Dinosaur Train Classic in the Jurassic Jr.

If you have an Dinosaur Train fans in your house, here is an app for you. They will get to practice their math skills as they build trains, construct bridges, and feed the dinosaurs. Their favorite characters will be there with them as they solve different puzzles. All Aboard!

CyberChase Shape Quest

Buzz and Delete are in Botopolis and need your help. They will help their friends get home, feed critters, and find friends who are hiding all while practicing their geometry, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills. With 80 different puzzles, your kids will be entertained and engaged for hours.

PBS Kids Measure Up

Join some of your favorite PBS characters in this app to practice math skills including, width, hight, capacity, and more. Characters from Peg + Cat, Sid the Science Kid, and Dinosaur Train travel on an adventure with them through 3 different places. They can earn rewards and unlock digital toys as they go.
