Free App Friday – January 15, 2015: ABCs and 123s


Welcome to another Free App Friday! This week we’ve found some great free apps that will teach your child concepts in both math and reading. If you have an animal lover, they will be in luck with an app with fun facts about dogs and dinosaurs.  If you have a musical toddler they will also have fun learning to play their favorite songs.

Your child will have fun saving the world in the app. They must complete the levels to keep Dr. D Stroy from creating an army of DinoDogz that will take over the world.They have five eggs to collect over 10 levels to win. Each completed levels will give them fun facts about their dog and their dinosaur.

Todo Math: Play and Learn From Counting to Multiplication.

This comprehensive app covers math from preschool to 2nd grade giving your child lots of opportunities to learn. With many learning games covering counting, number operations, time, money, geometry, and more, there are plenty of options to chose from.

Spelling Bee Word Game

Use this spelling app to help your child gain confidence in their spelling abilities. With levels ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade, there are plenty of options for your spellers to improve. This app will track your child’s progress. Along with using it in a sentence so they get proper context, it will reinforce word usage and meaning. Fun music and sounds will keep this learning experience fun.

Xylophone from Interactive Alphabet

Your toddler will have hours fun creating songs with this app. Using the helping hand, they will learn the main melody line for some of their favorite songs, such as: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald had a Farm, Row Row Row Your Boat, plus more!

A great app for your older kids. They can compete against the computer or a friend in this app. In this strategy game they will use problem-solving, spatial recognition, and cognitive skills. 3 levels of play, colorful graphics, and fun music will allow your child to be challenged in a fun environment whether they play alone or with someone else.
