Eli Explorer is a cute free-play app that allows little ones to explore an interactive world with their friend Eli while learning new words and phrases. This easy to use app is great for toddlers as it uses a simple tap and drag concept to help guide Eli around to various markers through the forest and sky.
100 Vocabulary words & phrases
Easy to use
Eli Explorer is full of cute interactive illustrations that children will love. With an easy to use free-play set up, the developers have created an environment that toddlers can easily enjoy and explore on their own. The background music, sound effects, and vocabulary words and phrases that are used throughout are very well done and help to create an overall high quality app that children can enjoy.
Not only do children have the opportunity to learn 100 words and phrases, but there are also 10 languages included which is great for children. Words like cow, sock, shirt, moon etc. are included and phrases such as “Hello Mr. Fish.” and “Orange juice, please.” are used to help children add to their vocabulary. There is also an interactive image that helps children count pears that fall into a basket (up to 10) which is also great for young children just learning to count. With new words, phrases, and multiple languages to explore this app offers great educational value for toddlers.
The free-play nature of the app encourages children to explore on their own without parameters and rules. They can fly Eli to the clouds and have him pop balloons or fly him toward the musical mushrooms that play music when they are tapped. All of the interactive images in between are highly entertaining and will certainly keep children engaged as they learn.
Priced at just under two dollars this app is a great deal. Not many apps offer a safe, free play environment with as much educational value as this one and at such a great price. Young children will most definitely be playing this app over and over again at a price parents will be happy with.
Not only is this app great for educational and fun, but it is very easy to use. The developers have done a nice job of setting it up in a way that children can explore and enjoy what the app has to offer without a ton of instructions. There are however, yellow stars that are scattered throughout to indicate an interactive point that children can enjoy. These little markers help guide children easily, while still creating a very easy to use atmosphere that encourages exploring and free play. There is also an option in the app settings section that allows parents to remove the ‘parents’ button from the app, making it even more child friendly.
