With lots of fun games and gorgeous illustrations this app offers a fun way to learn letter recognition with both upper, lower, and cursive letters and sounds. This is the perfect app for the little one in your home.

Quality

There is no doubt that a lot of time and effort went into creating the wonderful app that is Alphamonster. The graphics that are used are clean, entertaining, and lots of fun for kids to enjoy and the sound effects that accompany each sound are a great addition to the app. The developers have also done a great job keeping the user interface simple to use with simple tap and drag functioning for children of all ages to move throughout the app. Overall, Alphamonster is very well done.

Education

There is so much educational material packed into one app for little ones with Alphamonster. Children will not only have the chance to learn the names and sounds of each letter, but they also have the opportunity to recognize upper and lower case letters as well as cursive letters. There is also an activity for children to identify the first letter of the word based on an image. The developers have also taken the time to add an additional educational activity that gives children the chance to see a picture and the corresponding word for each letter. This activity is great as it introduces players to reading. All of the included activities teach children the fundamental skills they need just before they can begin to read making this app great for pre-readers all around.

Entertainment

While there aren’t any games per se within the app, little ones are still going to love playing with this app for the fun graphics, activities and sound effects. With that said it would be nice to have an educational game or puzzle that could go along with the theme of the app to give children a more entertaining option.

Priced at just under three dollars this app is a very good value. When you consider all of the educational activities, the phonics, and fundamental reading skills that are being built, this app is a steal. Parents are certainly going to appreciate what they are getting for a great price that won’t break the bank.

The developers have done a nice job overall making this app easy to use for children of all ages. With simple tap and drag functioning and a help option that provides a visual of how to use the app, little ones will have little to no trouble playing this app on their own. With that said parents might want to do assist children the first time they play each activity to ensure they are getting the most out of the app.
