Quality
PicoToons is a wonderful app for children who love to color and doodle. With 5 coloring book categories that include wonderful illustrations for children to color and decorate, this app is fabulous. Each coloring book has a variety of gorgeous and very detailed images for children to color. The audio used throughout the app includes simple background music and fun sound effects that are heard when children tap and touch various colors and tools to use. The developers have done a magnificent job creating a wide variety of images for children to color along with the many colors and patterns they can use throughout. This is definitely one of my favorite creativity and coloring apps.

There is no doubt that this app will keep children engaged and entertained for hours, especially children who love to color and draw. In addition to the 5 coloring book options with various categories including Robots, Animals, and Occupations, there are a multitude of colors and patterns to choose from. This gives children the freedom to color, decorate, and create amazing masterpieces exactly the way they want to.
The developers have also included a sketchbook that not only allows children to draw their own pictures, but also allows children to use set templates that are included that they can add their own flare to. With the same variety of colors and patterns to use, they are going to have so much fun creating and imagining their masterpieces. The sketchbook also allows children to draw, write, paint, color, and use a variety of stickers to decorate their pictures. It seems there really is no end to what children can create with this app. Not only that, but they can save their masterpieces in a gallery that they can view at a later time.
Overall this is probably one of the best creativity apps I have seen simply because of the variety of colors, options, coloring pages, and the detail that is included. Children and parents will not be disappointed with all that PicoToons Coloring Book has to offer.
Value
Priced at just under three dollars this app is a great deal. Regular coloring books and art supplies can get costly and if parents are looking for an app that will keep children busy and entertained while they color and draw, this app is great! With so many colors, patterns, coloring tools, and pages to color, children certainly will not get bored.
Child Friendliness
PicoToons Coloring Book is a great app for children to explore on their own. Without any social media links, advertisements, or in app purchases, this app is great for children of all ages. The simple set up allows children to select the coloring book, picture, or sketchbook they want to use very easily and without any instruction at all. The color options and coloring tools are also easy to locate with simple drop down menus within the coloring pages.
Parents will also be happy to know there is a settings area (that is protected) where they can set the level for their child as they play. The level indicates how many options are available based on the age of the child. For instance, the beginner level only includes the fill tool for children to us and is best for children three and under. This section also offers information about how to best use the app with children and allows parents to set whether they want the child lock on or off for various functions like saving pictures from the gallery to the device itself.
