Nott Won’t Sleep is a gorgeously illustrated app that will help children slow down and get ready for bed. With soft music and no text or words, this app has a unique way of telling the tale of how Nott gets to sleep and will in turn help children find their way to dreamland through a few simple activities.
- Wonderful illustrations
- Relaxing music
- 3 Simple activities
There is no doubt that the developers have outdone themselves with this app especially in the illustrations and the audio department. The whimsical illustrations and interactive activities are outstanding and they will instantly appeal to young children as they play. The audio consists of simple, soft music that will help children relax and settle in as they get ready for bed. While it may seem counter intuitive to have interactive activities in an app that is meant to help children get ready to sleep, each activity is related to bedtime and can help children relax and settle in for bed. Overall, the developers have done a magnificent job with this app.

Nott Won’t Sleep is a unique app that will help children not only settle in for bedtime, but can also help them with nighttime routines if it is used in leu of a traditional bedtime story. The app is set in Nott’s room where he is jumping up and down with delight and is clearly not ready for bed. There are three items his is missing from his room, that when tapped take children to each unique activity. The activities are simple and don’t require much instruction as they are set up for children to explore.
Each activity is also accompanied with soft music that will help children relax and get ready to sleep. While they activities are meant to help children get ready to sleep, they are entertaining and simple enough that they won’t get children too riled up. For example, one activity involves children helping to put forest animals to sleep by collecting various fireflies and then tapping the animals as they appear from behind the trees. Once all of the activities have been completed and the items return to Nott’s room (moon, stuffed animal, and nightlight), then Nott is finally put to sleep.
Children are going to have fun not only moving through the app and interacting with the gorgeous illustrations, but also by being able to play a ‘game’ before bedtime. This is really a great app for families to add to their bedtime routine!
Priced at just under three dollars, this app is priced pretty well. The illustrations, interactive components, and the activities included are very well done and children are going to love adding this to their bedtime routine. Parents will certainly appreciate how the soft music helps to coerce children to sleep easier. This app is well worth the money.
Not only is this app fun, but it is also very easy to use and safe too. Children can explore the various activities by tapping and touching through each at their own pace. Parents might want to be around to help guide them through the various activities to completion the first time they play so they get the hang of it, however after a bit of exploring on their own, players will easily get through the app.
With no text or words, this app is also great for young children to enjoy as well and since there are no social media links or advertisements to worry about, parents can rest assured knowing their child is safe as they play. Overall, this app is great for children!
