This storybook app is quite entertaining and fun for children to enjoy. It tells the tale of Angus the bull who is quite irritable and angry most of the time as he frightens the farm animals. The story goes on to show that Angus is actually irritable for a reason, he has a thorn in his back. After having the thorn removed by a kind bird, he feels absolutely wonderful!
While this storybook app does not have any additional games or activities to enjoy, it does have great narration, simple animations, and a wonderfully entertaining story children will love.
Priced at just under three dollars, this app doesn’t offer quite as much as you might expect with additional games and such, however the story is very cute. Parents may be a little disappointed to find this app does not include text highlighting and additional activities especially since other storybook apps at this price point do. While that is true, what the developers have included in this app is really great as far as the story, animation, and narration goes.
Parents will be happy to know that this app is completely safe for children to use. With no social media links, in app purchases, or advertisements to be concerned about, this app is great for children of all ages. The narration option also allows pre-readers to enjoy the story as well. Unfortunately the lack of text-highlighting does limit the app just a little bit as far as allowing children to follow along for reading help, however the rest of the app is very easy to use.
