Are your kids as excited about Shark Week as mine are? Our household has become shark central over the last few days. Kids are naturally curious about sharks and the Discovery Channel does such a great job of making the subject accessible and fun.

With that spirit in mind, I thought I’d share some fun shark apps and addictive shark games for the kids. Whatever your device, I found some great shark apps the kids would love. We made sure our list included family-friendly shark apps and education shark apps as well as some great storybook apps.

Talking Shark allows users to speak with their own voices and use them to have the onscreen shark repeat the message back. There’s a choice of two different kinds of sharks (a realistic one and a cutesy one), plus a collection of other sea creatures that can be animated and voiced.

This app also includes several other amusements, such as poking the shark and feeding the shark, as well as what the developer calls “a few other small games.” If your child already loves the talking animals apps, this one will be a hit as well!
