Bogga Easter is fun egg decorating for young kids. Not just egg decorating, the app includes a few surprises, too. The app is inexpensive Easter fun.
Mess-free egg decorating anywhere, anytime
Bogga Easter is nicely designed for users as young as toddlers and preschoolers. The design is basic and intuitive, no reading required. Graphics, music and sounds make for a delightful experience. This universal app works well on smaller devices, such as the iPod, or larger devices like the iPad.
Before decorating the egg, kids will need to go on an egg hunt. The egg to be decorated has been hidden by a crafty little bunny under one of nine bushes. Some bushes may contain cute little surprises, others may have nothing.
Once the egg is found, 18 designs are available for decorating the egg. Five designs are allowed per egg. All five can be the same or you can use five different designs. Upon completion of the egg, a magic wand and camera appear. Take a photo of your egg to share with family and friends and then use the magic wand to discover toys and treats to be enjoyed by your youngster before moving on to decorating another egg.
For most users, this app will not have a high educational value. It does not include activities for counting or the alphabet. With parent interaction the app could be used for educational activities such as learning colors or counting. The main educational focus of the app is the fine motor skills kids will use by dragging the designs to the eggs, hunting for the egg or playing with the surprises.
With 18 different designs kids are able to decorate an endless number of eggs. The additional activities such as the egg hunt, playing with the hidden treasures in the egg and sharing photos extend the entertainment value of Bogga Easter.
While the app is designed for toddlers and preschoolers, and they are most likely the ones to enjoy the egg hunt and playing with the goodies, users of all ages can have fun decorating the eggs and sharing the photos. Being a universal app also extends the value, allowing families to use it on multiple sized devices.
Bogga Easter contains a menu just for parents. The menu is not protected, but it is not likely to attract kids. Ideally, the additional apps link located on the main page would be moved to the parents menu to ensure the safety of kids playing with the app.
