Smart-EZE: Minutes A Day is a great educational app that provides lots of practice and review of Math, English, and Reading Comprehension skills. Perfect for a bit of practice during school breaks or as a quick review throughout the school year, this app along with the additional lessons, provides a one stop shop for all things educational for grades 1-5.
- Math, English, & Reading Comprehension Review
- Grades 1-5 covered
- First lesson in all subjects/grades free
The amount of information that is included in the Smart-EZE app is incredible and the organization is very well done. With the option to set up a parent profile to manage additional lessons and student profiles, this app is great for families with multiple children at home. Since this app is focused on education, it doesn’t have a ton of visual or audio appeal for children which could make this app a little boring. Adding a few fun games and additional sound effects would make a ton of difference in keeping children engaged as they learn.
There is no doubt this app is full of educational content that is great for children grades 1-5. The free version comes with 1 lesson (8 questions) in each subject for each grade level with an option to purchase up to 29 other lessons. The first lesson in each subject gives parents an idea of how the app can be used for review, practice, and learning specific skills at home which is great. In addition to the questions for each lesson, there is also a tutorial section that helps children if they get stuck. There are some subjects that also offer an overview of information to help children with specific terms, topics, and concepts that is great for review. Overall, Smart-EZE has lots of great educational value and the free version is a perfect tester for parents to try before buying additional lessons.
Not rated for entertainment.
The trial version of this app is absolutely free and it is a great way to see how the app works before moving forward to purchase additional lessons. With 8 questions in the first lesson for each subject and each grade, Smart-EZE offers lots of great info to work through for free which parents can appreciate. There are also additional lesson bundles available for purchase or individual subjects with prices ranging from $12-30.
While the developers have done a nice job making this app fairly easy to use with great organization and multiple profile options for multi-child families, there are some preference options with unprotected external links that really should be protected or kept under the parent profile section. For some parents this might be a deal-breaker for the app which is too bad, because it really has a lot of great info to offer.
