Not only are children going to learn a variety of words, but they are able to learn each set of opposites with hands on interactive scenes which is great for hands-on learners. There is narration throughout each activity as well so as the word appears on the screen, children will hear the narrator read it aloud, providing another way for children to learn. The quiz option provides a great practice for children to test their knowledge by providing two pictures and asking players to select the correct words (from a word bank) that accurately describes the scene. This app is great for children who enjoy an interactive approach to learning.

Priced at just under two dollars, this app is a great deal. Children are able to learn a variety of opposite words through fun games and activities and explore the interactive images as they play. When you consider the number of activities, the quiz, and the awesome illustrations, this app is a great value and will surely become one children play over and over again.
The developers have done an excellent job making this app easy to use and safe too. With simple tap and touch options to explore the illustrations and some other creative ways to interact with the app (i.e. shaking the device, blowing into the microphone etc.), this app is great for children of all ages. The narration throughout also makes it fun and easy for young children to play. The developers have done a nice job of keeping this app safe for children to use by protecting the button that provides access to another app by the same developer. There is also a “rate our app” button at the end of the ‘play’ option and while it isn’t ideal to have this in a children’s app, it is protected as well.
The only part of the app that might be a little iffy, is the mirror activity that displays a picture of the child using the camera function as ‘cute’ and then using a fun mirror image (with the child’s face) displays the word ‘ugly’. Some parents may be uncomfortable with this part of the app. With that said, the rest of the app is child appropriate.
