Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo is a universal app that is jam packed with hours of entertainment at a reasonable price. If I could rate it more than five stars I would! This is a definite must-have app for any explorer!
What’s all of the excitement about!? Six baby animals have gone missing and need to be reunited with their parents before the grand opening of the Cartown Zoo, today! Zookeeper, Outback Al, has so much to do before the grand opening that he enlists the help of an adorable little car named Putt-Putt and his little dog friend, Pep. Putt-Putt and Pep need your help finding the rescue tools and the animals!
Have you ever played hockey, one-on-one with a polar bear, danced with penguins, or gotten a paint job that tickles? These are just a few of the things that you will be able to experience while playing Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo; not to mention the satisfaction of saving the day for the Cartown Zoo.
The developers have done an amazing job including all kinds of details that make this a five-star app. They have tucked thousands of interactive objects, or so it seems, along the way. Be sure to touch EVERYWHERE, you never know what will happen! And, don’t touch an object just once; they may do something different the second (or third) time. The “intelligence” that is built into this app is amazing. The intelligent interaction between the characters brought the story to life for my kids. For example, when Putt-Putt talks with the parents, or Outback Al, Putt-Putt knows which animals have been found and which are still missing. Amazing! You quickly become so engrossed with the story that you lose track of time and do not want to quit until all of the animals are reunited, because the zoo cannot have the grand opening until then!
Outback Al gives Putt-Putt a list of the animals so you can easily find out at any time which animals have been found and which are left to find. At the entrance of the Zoo there is a map of the zoo, which will help you on your adventure, too. From the minute you start this app, all of the way to the end, it will be enjoyable. I like how the adventure ends with a scrapbook of Putt-Putt’s day at the zoo. The music is so catchy that I found myself leaving it play even after we had completed the adventure. The graphics are vivid with colors that pop and the voices of all of the characters are very well done, too.
